We are very lucky to have our own Learning Support room at Oak Farm. This room is used for small group work where pupils have the opportunity to develop their skills in any areas they may need more time and practice to improve. It is used by our SENCo, Mrs Dempsey, and our LSAs who run small group work to focus on many skills such as:
• Social skills
• Speech and Language skills
The Learning support room also has a sensory pod that some pupils use as a space to have some quiet time. Our room is also filled with a vast array of resources that support pupils' learning across the school.
We have a very colourful mural on the wall, featuring fish of all different shapes and sizes. It was painted by Miss Killick, one of our very talented teachers.
Here are some of the opinions of children who use the learning support room:
"I like the support room because it's colourful". Jack
"I like the learning support room because it gives me support with my handwriting". Brandon
"I like being in the room because we have good learning". Roehan
"I like the dolphin". Olaf
"I like coming here because I learn something new". Chloe
